CPR COURSES
All of the courses offered through CPR Certification Solutions are considered live/in person certifications.

Upon successful course completion each participant shall receive a course completion card valid for
2 years, issued by the American Heart Association.
BLS - BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
The AHA’s BLS Provider Course | Formerly BLS for Healthcare Providers | is designed to prepare healthcare professionals and other personnel how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support techniques. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.

The course is classroom based and video based.
BLS (Basic Life Support) CLASSROOM LEARNING

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with a BLS Instructor to refine BLS skills techniques . This course includes group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an AHA instructor.
Students also complete a 25 question multiple choice written exam.
Upon successful completion of the course, including a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a BLS course completion card, valid for two years.
IN PERSON PRACTICE (part 2) AND SKILLS TESTING (part 3) REQUIRED FOR CERTIFICATION
BLS (Basic Life Support) BLENDED LEARNING

BLS (Basic Life Support) Blended Learning is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal BLS Course.
HeartCode BLS (part 1) is the eLearning component of Blended Learning, this course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills.

After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice (part 2), debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing (part 3).

Upon successful completion of part 3 students will be issued the same BLS Provider card as if they had taken the classroom version of the course. This class is desirable because it is less expensive than the classroom version and there is NO written exam.
This is NOT considered an online course.
HEARTSAVER
Heartsaver courses are designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner. These are courses for students with limited or no medical training who need a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirements or for anyone who wants to learn basic CPR and obtain a Heartsaver course completion card . The courses are classroom-based and video based.
HEARTSAVER CPR/AED | CLASSROOM LEARNING

In the Instructor-led course, students learn the fundamental knowledge and skills of basic CPR. This course includes group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an AHA instructor.
There is NO written exam.
Upon successful completion of the course, including a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver course completion card, valid for two years.
Heartsaver CPR/AED | BLENDED LEARNING

Heartsaver CPR/AED Online (part 1) is a Web-based, self-directed program for students seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal CPR/AED certification. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Content includes how to perform CPR and use an AED.
Heartsaver CPR/AED (part 1) is the eLearning component of Blended Learning, this course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students CPR/AED knowledge and skills.
After completing the online portion, students attend a structured CPR/AED Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice (part 2), when to perform CPR and the use of an AED, and skills testing (part 3).
Upon successful completion of PART 3 students will be issued the same Heartsaver CPR/AED card as if they had taken the classroom version of the course. This class is desirable because it allows the student flexibility to complete a portion of the course at their own pace.

This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in First AID CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
There is NO written exam.
Upon successful completion of the course, including a First Aid skills test, students receive a Heartsaver course completion card, valid for two years.
